The Prayer of a Worried Man

"My life feels like a whirlpool, LORD. Being tossed this way and that, I do not know where to turn but to You. I am on my knees before you; it's the last place left to fall. I'm worried and don't know what to do.

"Tomorrow's troubles confront me today, and their assaults are relentless. In You I can do anything, that I know, but I feel like a leaf thrown in the wind. My lack of control in this list is bothersome and fear-inducing. In You I can find strength, but I feel like a withering Oak.

"Open my eyes, ears, and heart so that I may follow your will, for going against it is the most treacherous of all terrain. Open doors that you wish opened, and close those that will lead me away from You. I ask for your guidance; let me be the donkey, led on by your reigns.

"Amen."

In Christ,
Kyle
