God is Here For You

The other day, I told my friend about something bad that was going on in my life (sorry, not gonna go into specifics). She answered me with a few questions. She asked, "Who's in your heart now?" I replied, "God." Then she asked, "What has He done for you?" I replied, "Everything". Again she asked, "What can He do for you?" My answer: "Anything." Lastly, she asked, "What does He want you to do?", and I said, "I don't know." Then, she finally gave me an answer. She said, "Prayer. He wants you to talk to Him."

That whole conversationed reminded me of something I have somehow forgotten: God is always here for us. He has been with His people since the beginning of time. He gave His only son for us. Another thing: He will always be here. After the great flood of Noah's day, God made a promise, and He made it with a brilliant rainbow. That promise still stands today. We all must remember that God is here and he always will be.

We also must remember to pray. In times of doubt or darkness or sin, all we have to do is pray to the LORD. Just ask for forgiveness, guidance, help, whatever you need. But also thank Him. He's done so much for us. Amen

Peace be with you,
Kyle

  4. Dear Anonymous(2),

First things first. You have to have faith. Believe with all your heart that the LORD has a plan for you. The story of Joseph is a perfect example. He was unwillingly sold into slavery by his brothers, but God was with him. He endured the pain and suffering by having faith in God. God had a plan for him the whole time. He brought Joseph to Egypt via slavery. He rose Joseph up from a slave to the Pharoah's right-hand man. Just remember, God always has a plan

Secondly, God tests our faith sometimes. We have to stay strong and have faith that everything will be ok. And anyone can pray. Anyone can bow their heads and fold their hands and ask the LORD for something, but you have to say it with meaning. You have to believe that your prayers will reach God and He will listen. You can't pray and not believe. It won't do anything. That's the problem I see in your situation.

Thirdly: I will pray for you. I will pray that your situation gets better, and that God will fill you with His grace and love.

Lastly: I am giving you a warning for language. This blog is not a place for swear words. Yes, "bullshit" is a considered bad language. Also, I do not appreciate hate comments nor anti-God comments. They hurt me on a personal level. I do, however, allow comments of stories (like yours) when accompanied by a prayer request or other positive comment. It's the language and the "Religion bashing" that I don't appreciate. I am currerntly debating on whether I will delete your comment or not. I will leave it up for a day or two so that you can see that there is a reply.

May God be with you. Stay strong and remember He loves you,
    Kyle

  5. I would like to add to what Kyle said. All of the trials and temptations in our lives are Satan trying to get in the way of our faith. People think "I'm a Christian so I'm safe." NO!! that is wrong ! You are a Christian so watch out !! Satan is NOT gonna waste his time on someone he already controls he's going to go after those he doesn't!All you are doing with this comment is being disrespectful, rude, hurtful and even worse , you just told Satan he won you! you just told God you don't believe he's there for you. god won't go where he isn't wanted and trust me he knows when he is truly wanted. It really sounds like you don't want Him you just want what He can do for you. i Will also be praying that you read this and it somehow makes the difference because you need the help.

P.S. i have a friend who has been battling a deadly form of brain cancer for years. She still has faith and guess what ? she just found out its gone. THAT is what FAITH can do.

  7. I have a friend who has a serious condition... Her boyfriend broke up with her three days later. Then when she was finally getting better, months later, she got a serious injury ruining her life. Nearly ending everything. And surely ruined every chance for her to be a normal sixteen year old girl. Yet she kept trying to be positive. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do. She tried praying. All of us did. But her condition came back and her injury worse. I am not religion bashing but I can't see always how it rly works. Sometimes it just doesn't. I'd like to believe it does. Yet things happen to ruin our beliefs.

  8. Dear anonymous,

God works in mysterious ways. Sometimes we just can't understand why He puts us through certain things, certain trials, and that's ok. Sometimes it's the devil meddling in our lives, making things go bad in hopes of ruining our relationship with God. I know it's hard to have faith and stay positive sometimes. There was a time in my life when things looked bleak. My best friend had cancer and was told she had three months to live. On top of that, I had personal stresses and troubles that brought me to an all-time low. At that time, my faith was weak. Please read the articles "Through the Valleys" and "Footprints" (In that order). They're about how God walks with you through tough times and carries you through the worst. Just remember that everything that happens is part of a bigger plan. Whether you can tell He's present or not, God's always present in our lives.

Also, thank you for clarifying your intentions of "not religion bashing". Comments like this are welcome. We will help in any way possible. Thanks again. I will hope and pray for you and your friend.

    Hope I helped,
    Kyle

  9. Anonymous,
I completely understand what you are saying. When I was twelve my uncle died, he was very very special to me and his death shook me and my faith. My uncle had muscular distrophy, a degenerative disease which, over time , leaves most victims in a wheel chair and with limited or no use of most of their body.I was ANGRY when he died. I couldn't understand why God would let someone so special to me die. I had prayed for years and years that his disease would go away. Finally when I couldn't come up with any reasons, I asked my pastor why, if I had prayed so hard, did my uncle never get better? I don't remember what exactly he told me but I do remember the point. He told me that God will ALWAYS answer our prayers, but that doesn't mean we will always get what we want. He told me that everything happens for a reason and while sometimes we never realize that reason its there. In my case , the reason was the strengthening of my faith and my family's. I will also be praying for your friend but instead of praying only for her to get better I will pray that if God wills it she will get better and that no matter what that he brings peace and understanding to your lives. Please feel free to contact us at the email on the right hand side of the page and right here on the comments. I would love to help you understand as much as I can.

p.s. have you thought that perhaps your friend wasn't meant to be normal? Maybe she is meant to be an inspiration to someone somewhere. If she can remain positive in the face of her trials why can't you? Your friend needs support and if she isn't angry at her position , I don't mean to offend you, but you have no business and no reason and no right to be angry. If it were your condition then I would understand but it isn't and therefore you need to stop and think, if she isn't mad, why are you?
