How Do You Use His Name?

God's name is used in many ways today, and not all of them are good. The question is: How do you use his name? Do you use it as a blame? God's name can be a blame for us sometimes. Don't blame God for any bad things that are happening. Those things may either be Satan's work, or small bumps in the road. Remember that God keeps the big picture in mind. Ever use it as a curse? "Oh my God!" or "I swear to God!" are two commonly used phrases in which God's name is used in a not-so-good way. The Third Commandment says: "'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'" That was covered in the first part of this article. What the Third Commandment doesn't say, is how we can use His name. Use His name for His glory. Praise Him. Use His name to teach others and spread His word. That's one of the reasons we, as Christians, we made. To glorify the LORD.

Praise the LORD,
Kyle
